Synopsis:
In the late seventies, Argentina was still in the grips of dictatorship. It was a society governed by secrets and fear. After the accidental death of his mother, Andres (8) has to move in with his grandmother, Olga, and his estranged father Raul. Andres, who doesn’t like to take a nap, wanders curiously through the neighborhood, where a secret detention center is hidden, something everyone knows, but no one dares mention. The boy’s curiosity ultimately places him in harms way. He will come to appreciate his grandmother’s strengths and understand his father’s weaknesses during a single summer where his courage and fears will be tested with lasting consequences for all. “Andres” is a multi-award winning film about a boy, pushed by circumstance to come of age quickly, in order to survive.
1977/1978, Santa Fe, Argentina. Tras la muerte de su madre Andrés (8) debe ir a vivir con su hermano a la casa de su abuela Olga y su padre Raúl. En el barrio donde viven funciona un centro clandestine de detención y esto es un secreto a voces. Este sera un año de cambios y transformaciones. Un año en el que Andrés y Olga descubiran el poder que tienen uno sobre el otro y de cómo ejerzan ese poder, seran las consecuencias.
