The
sweet tone and inspired visual riffs will immerse you in
the ‘60’s…
What’s a wannabe be-bop trumpet player to do when
he can’t improvise musically or socially? The haplessly
unhip Burt plays easy listening for an orchestra while his
heart longs for jazz. His ex-wife makes his life miserable
while his heart yearns for love. When the fresh-faced Linda,
a fabulously carefree girl, joins the orchestra as a flutist,
Burt is immediately smitten. Linda is also impressed, not
with his beatnik lingo but with his talent for Muzak. While
Burt gives Linda lessons for a music scout’s upcoming
visit, she teaches him that being upbeat can mean more than
just setting a tempo.
