A hip urban reggae film about music, passion, love and devotion! Tsegaye is a driven musician who leaves his wife and children behind and moves to California in search for a long lost childhood friend, Kirubel. When he finds him, the two, along with Kirubel’s drummer friend, Teferi, embark upon a journey to bring Ethiopian and Reggae music to the world. LASTA is a small picturesque, peaceful village in Ethiopia where once great civilization flourished. This is where Saint Lalibela created magnificent rock hewed churches and where one can hear sweet melodies from the secluded mountains of Lasta Lalibela, the birthplace of Ethopian music.
