Based on the real life story of Ricardo Lopez (famed Mexican drug dealer), La Sombra Del Sahuaro tells the story of a drug dealer in Sonora Mexico named Sahuaro, played by Mexican Soap Opera favorita Eduardo Santamarina. Separated in childhood, Sahuaro leaves with his uncle Jesus Ochoa, while his brother Marco Perez stays behind to be reared by his mother. As adults, Sahuaro has become a dominant drug dealer and his brother, a prominent business man. In a small border town, the brothers square off in a fight over drugs and money in a rage of jealousy and violence. A Mexican Theatrical hit and US Festival Favorite!
