Ellen (Katey Sagal, Married with Children, The Shield), and Brian Young (Tom Irwin, My So Called Life, Saving Grace), have a wonderful marriage. The only thing missing is a child to share in their happiness. Now with Ellen expecting their first baby, they feel that their life will soon be complete. But in spite of their hopes and prayers, Brian finds himself in a hospital operating room, facing the dire possibility of losing both his wife and his child. Both pull through the birth, but Ellen remains weak and ill. Her primary care nurse Claire, (Annabeth Gish, Brotherhood, Mystic Pizza), a single mother, remains faithful to Ellen and her newborn child, until the end, when Ellen has given all she could in the fight for her life. After Ellen’s passing, it is as if God had planned it all along, Brian and Ellen form a relationship that soon becomes a new strong family, in this dramatic tale of love, produced for CBS Television. |
