Ada
is an English-born designer working for an haute couture house
in Paris and living with her boyfriend, Paul. Paul is one
half of a screenwriting team with Guido, whose romantic life
leaves him in ruins. Paul and Guido are preparing a script
for Alphonse, a womanizer and for Yves, a director married
to Nina. Rounding out their circle is Lise, a young designer
who fancies herself in love with Paul, and Emma, an aspiring
cabaret artist whose materialism exceeds her means. Among
them, relationships break, strain, form and reform, and along
the way each learns something about the possibilities of life.
And while the price may be painful, in this little film, it
is never too high.
