Twenty-five year old Jude Farnie has lived in the small town
of Beaumont, Texas all of her life with her mother, Grace,
and grandmother, Nofia. It's all she's ever known ... and
all she's ever wanted to get away from. Where should she draw
the line in caring for her family and in caring for herself?
Jude has the unfortunate ability to see both sides of every
coin, and suffers from a terrible case of option-paralysis.
But on the heels of her third college graduation, she is more
afraid of things staying the same than what change may bring.
Everyone around her appears content with their path in life,
convincing Jude she must begin to search for her own "wooden
watermelons”. This affable look at life in small town
America serves up a myriad of quirky characters and lighthearted
laughs, but at its core it’s a tale of the triumph of
the female spirit.
