St. Augustine's school is located in the poorest section of the South Bronx. The teachers & principal decided to commit to an arts curriculum, one where the arts, especially music, were treated with the importance of any academic subject. In the last 6 yrs., enrollment has tripled & reading & math scores have improved dramatically. Told through interviews with students, teachers, and parents - with footaage of the classroom, rehearsal, & performance.
