Starring Rosa Furr

A collection of gay/lesbian themed shorts featuring the festival favorite “ Starring: Rosa Furr”, a black and white silent movie. Waitress Emma West witnesses a murder and is on the run from the Mob. She flees to San Francisco where she finds a job with a struggling theatre company and falls in love with the leading star, Rosa Furr. Collection also includes “Angel in the Attic” by Lara Martin, “D.W.” by Durand Williams and interviews with Berenice Reynaud, Lara Martin and Durand Williams on the history of African-American representation as well as the history of gay & lesbian presence in cinema. |
