The Magic of Marciano

Marciano is the story of a young boy named James, who quietly yearns for a better life. He tried to comfort his loving mother Katie when her disturbing mood swings bring her to the edge of hysteria. He ignores the fights between his mom and her antagonistic boyfriend Curt, by slipping easily into a private world of vivid daydreams. A ray of light appears when James meets retired ex-psychiatrist Henry, who is fixing up his sailboat at the local marina. The boy thrusts himself into the man's life by helping to prepare the boat for a new paint job. At home, Katie tries her best to lavish love and attention on her son, even as she slowly sinks into a deep well of self-loathing and lonliness. The fragile bubble of equilibrium finally bursts in a stunning display of violence that will forever change James' life.
