This is the story of two best friends; Kristi and Sean, who used to be high school sweethearts, and are now coping with Sean's terminal cancer. Kristi is now a corporate executive while Sean stayed back in the old neighborhood to open up a coffee shop. After realizing his life is coming to an end Sean asks Kristi to have his baby. She agrees to this as long as Sean continues to fight his cancer to be around for the birth of their child. After becoming pregnant, romantic feelings and other people in their lives further complicate their relationship. They finally come to terms with their situation and unite for their final journey together, in this poignant tale of undying devotion.
