QUALITY INDEPENDENT CINEMA SUBMISSION GUIDELINES
Vanguard is a home entertainment release studio with a strong
market presence in the United States and Canadian markets.
The company focuses on vhs and dvd releases in addition to
actively licensing television and internet programming and
vod rights. Vanguard has pioneered relationships with multiple
internet streaming retail outlets for video on demand. While
focusing its efforts in the home entertainment arena Vanguard
occasionally engages in limited theatrical placements as well
as international market rights sales on a project by project
basis.
Currently, Vanguard is solely interested in completed projects,
primarily feature films in the following major categories:
a) US Independent genre films produced
within last 4-6 years with high
production value and emerging talent in front and behind the
cameras. Strong and current documentaries are part of our
ongoing release slate as well. Any theatrical exposure is
valued as well as festival submissions, awards and critical
acclaim.
b) Contemporary international films with high production value,
mainstream orientation and possible festival exposure, in
addition to occasionally releasing classic older films provided
they have immediate market recognition of awards, stars and/or
directors.
c) Vanguard En Espanol is the company's fastest growing category
featuring current and classic films in Spanish language from
Spain, Mexico, Cuba and Latin America featuring domestically
and internationally recognized talent, high production values
and preferably enjoying critical acclaim.
d) Vanguard For Kids is the companies youngest division featuring
classic television programming with emphasis on learning and
discovery values.
If you are interested in submitting, we do request
that you follow our submissions procedure; this will enable
us to review your materials quickly and in a uniform manner.
It is mandatory to include:
a) A copy or copies of the completed
film
b) Artwork from the film
c) Any pertinent press and public relations production information
on your submission, such as cast and crew bios, awards granted
and/or festival recognition received.
If available please also send:
a) Packaging or print material
b) Any available sales and marketing information on your project
c) A trailer for the film
d) The soundtrack to the motion picture
